In accordance with Jordan School District Board approval, Falcon Ridge Elementary is currently under construction at approximately 6100 W. 7000 South in West Jordan. It will open at the beginning of the 2008-09 school year. To facilitate the opening of this new school, an area boundary change is required that will establish the new school boundaries and affect student enrollment at Mountain Shadows, Oakcrest, and Hayden Peak Elementary Schools.
Following an open house to receive public comment, the boundary committee discussed possible school boundaries for Falcon Ridge Elementary. Committee co-chairs recommended Option 18 to the Board of Education for consideration at the Oct.23 Board Study Session. The Board approved the boundary proposal during the Nov. 20 Board Meeting.
