| Position: Custodial Trainer/Energy Coordinator |
| Description/Requirements: JSD is looking for a Custodial Trainer/ Energy Coordinator. This is a lane 13, 245 day, 8 hour per day position. This position conducts all required training for Jordan Custodial Operating System (JCOS), employee orientation in-service and the sweeper training classes. Monitors compliance with the JCOS program and maintains JCOS records. Assists with hiring, promoting and career development of District custodians. Provides input regarding upgrading custodial supplies and equipment. Provides input on custodial and utility budgets, energy capital outlay budget and maintenance and operations budgets. Develops and recommends energy conservation policy and procedures for all buildings in the District. Inspects buildings and ensures energy conservation practices are being implemented. Sets operating time and temperature schedules for District buildings. Adjusts times and schedules for the automated sprinkling systems. Assumes responsibility for the director in his/her absence. Requires two years education or training in facilities management or related field plus six years previous job related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires two years experience as middle school level head custodian or above in Jordan School District. Requires two years supervisory experience. Requires current JCOS Certification. Requires a Swimming Pool and Spa Operation Certification or must be able to become certified within six months from hire date. Requires training in the Asbestos Awareness Training Program or must be able to become certified within six months from hire date.
