Appropriate certification and endorsements
are required for the following positions.
For applicants outside Jordan School
District, the following items are required to apply for
a licensed position:
- A completed application.

)
- A transcript of credit showing your degree
and the date degree was received.
- A copy of your placement file, including all student
teaching evaluations, sent to us from your graduating university
placement center (a transcript is not included in this file).
If you have had previous teaching experience, a letter of
recommendation from each principal you worked for, or District
evaluations, are required. These may be sent in place of
the student teaching evaluations.
- A copy of your valid Utah Teaching license.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or possess a
valid work visa. Jordan School District does not sponsor
foreign applicants.
- Verification of passing the appropriate Praxis Content Test to meet the Federal No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Highly Qualified requirement.
- Verification of
passing the Praxis II - Principles of Learning and Teaching Test to meet the Utah State License requirement.

Screening interviews will be scheduled by the Human Resources Department for
candidates once all the above items are received.

Note: Teachers
interested in transferring must obtain a transfer form
and signature from their principal. The form should
be received by the Human Resources office by 4:30 p.m.
the day the job closes. Teachers interested
in a second advertised position can call the Human Resources office to
have it added to their transfer form. Please direct elementary calls to
