Employees who resign without giving the District at least 30 days (calendar days) notice prior to the beginning of the new contract year will be fined $500 (DP318).
Leaves of absence also require 30 days notice prior to the beginning of the new contract year; otherwise, the leave will be denied (unless it is for medical reasons that are verified by a physician. - See DP336 NEG)
All retiree's are to give notice 30 days prior to their last contract day. If they do not submit their retirement letter by May 30, they will be fined $500.
