echoices
echoices is the premiere Web site for obtaining online assistance in the educational and career planning process. For Jordan School District high school students and their parents, this is the place to begin. In order to access the site, you must first obtain entry codes and passwords from your school. After that, you may enter from any computer, at any time, for free.
Utah Mentor
This wonderful site is being made available to Utah students, parents, and educators through the Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority (UHEEA). Similar to echoices in many ways, this site has the capability to lead students through the process of career planning as well as educational planning. The focus is on preparing for training beyond high school at in-state institutions. One neat feature is that students may complete one application and submit it electronically to several in-state schools at the same time.
Davis School District SEOP Self-tour
The Davis School District has compiled a number of resources and Web sites in one place under the heading of SEOP Self-tour. It makes a nice addition to the sites listed on the Jordan School District website.
College Board
College Board is the organization responsible for producing such widely known assessments as the SAT, PSAT, and AP. They have also compiled one of the most extensive Websites dealing with college and career preparation on the internet.

This is a section of the ACT-sponsored Web site. It provides connections between occupations and programs of study in colleges and universities. It also includes testimonials from students who have attended various colleges. A helpful place to go if you want to learn from the experiences of older students.
O Net
This site is a collection of assessments, data, guides, and just plain good information related to career planning. It is a government Web site which caters more to adults than to students, but it can still be very helpful to students who are serious about getting accurate and up-to-date career information.

This site is produced by the writers of the popular career planning book, What Color is Your Parachute? It is rich in career assessments and planning and exploration tools.
Virtual Jobshadowing
Want to spend part of your day experiencing a job first-hand? While you are in school, that can be a challenge, but not with this site. Here you can see and hear what is happening at the job-site of many favorite occupations on the net. It requires the assistance of a counselor, teacher, or other adult mentor to set up the job shadow experience, but it could really help you decide whether a specific occupation is for you or not.

This site boasts a database of over 600,000 awards worth over $1.6 billion. They also claim that you can use the site without the risk of receiving tons of junkmail later on. Check it out.

This is perhaps the largest and most well known of all scholarship-search sites on the web. In addition to a listing of over 600,000 scholarships, Fastweb also provides articles and guides that may be helpful in the process of finding money for college.
