Crescent Elementary

Welcome
We are pleased to present the 2006-07 Jordan School District Annual Report. As detailed in this report, we have seen progress on many levels: students’ ACT scores again topped state and national averages, graduating seniors earned nearly $23 million in academic and athletic scholarships, and the percentage of teachers holding a master’s degree or higher is near 50 percent.

In this report you will find details about the District’s staff, students, programs and finances during the 2006-07 school year. In addition, individual school U-PASS report cards are available by clicking on the Test Results link. These report cards, prepared by the Utah State Office of Education, show test scores, ethnic breakdown of students, educational level of staff and other information for each school in the District.

Statistical publications, however, are just one measurement of success. Jordan School District is considered a state leader in public education. Our dedicated teachers, staff and administrators serve on many statewide committees and work groups to improve the quality of education for all Utah students. We earnestly strive to strengthen partnerships with businesses, increase our ability to integrate more vocational and technical choices into education, and provide world-class development options for students and staff.

Jordan School District welcomes this opportunity to share its achievements of the past school year. Thank you for your continued commitment to our schools and our students’ learning. We invite you to join us as we continue building the best system possible for teaching our children.

Jordan School District Mission
The mission of Jordan School District is to serve students by providing opportunities for them to realize their potential as contributing citizens and life-long learners.
