About Herriman High School

Herriman High School is currently under construction with an anticipated opening date of August 2010. With the enrollment of Riverton High reaching 3,000 students and Bingham High exceeding 2,500 students, the need for a new high school, in one of the fastest growing areas of the state, has become a priority. Herriman High School colors and mascot have not been chosen; all these important decisions will be made with input from students.

The capacity of the building will be 2,500 students, with the facility being built on a 55-acre site with adequate parking for students and patrons. The front of the building will face west with a view of the beautiful Oquirrh Mountains. Great care has been taken to make sure the building is energy efficient, including wind turbines and solar panels.
