Vocational Assessment
Jump start your future at Jordan School District's Jordan Applied Technology Center. We have the programs to help you plan for a lasting and satisfying career. The first step to your future is our Assessment Center. Here we will help you realize your aptitudes and discover you interests. Then with our up-to-date occupational and educational information system, we can match you with the career of your choice.
Training
Once your career plans are in place, chances are, we have the specialized training to get you the knowledge and experience you need. Our Training Center specializes in providing you with the skills employers demand. Of course, all of our classes use state-of-the-art technology with instructors that rate among the best in the state.
Job Placement
Our Placement Center is here to help you get your first job. Services at the placement center include assistance in resume writing, filling out job applications as well as tips for succeeding in job interviews. Working in conjunction with the Wasatch Front South Placement Network, we will help you with all of the important skills needed to find your new career.
Preparation
It is recommended that ninth and tenth grade students who plan to take programs at the Jordan District Technical Center work with school counselors in planning a course of study which will provide the background needed to be successful at the Technical Center.
Eligibility
Eleventh and twelfth grade students who attend Alta, Bingham, Brighton, Copper Hills, Hillcrest, Jordan, West Jordan, Valley and Wasatch Front High Schools.
Registration
Obtain an application from your high school Applied Technology Coordinator or School Counselor.
