ABOUT EASTMONT

Eastmont Middle School, located in the southern quadrant of Sandy City, serves seventh, eighth, and ninth grade students. Eastmont families represent a variety of social and economic levels. The all-electric school, which opened in 1973, has 50 separate teaching areas, a 1,250-seat auditorium, media center, gymnasium, and cafeteria. The building has been completely remodeled at a cost of over $5 million. The final phase of the remodel is the auditorium which has a new sound system, seats, carpet and curtain.

In addition to providing students with a good foundation in basic skills, the Eastmont faculty is working to help students learn self-discipline and develop self-esteem. Our mission statement is to provide students with the competencies required to further their education and to function with self-confidence in a global society.
